Norris Enterprises has been established for over 15 years. The company is comprised of two divisions, Norris Distribution, and Norris Consulting.

NORRIS DISTRIBUTION

The distribution division is a direct source import/export company serving the business with employees in both the U.S. and in China . The distribution company is well positioned to take advantage of Mr. Norris’ well established international relationship in China and Southeast Asia .

The distribution company currently imports child electric scooters, building/construction materials, and apparel from Southeast Asia . Plans are in the works to develop a product distribution center in 2005-2006 in the U.S.A.

NORRIS CONSULTING

From 1988-1993 Norris served as the Executive Director of the Antelope Valley Region of the Building Industry Association. He has developed expertise in Real Estate Development, Transportation, and Government Relations. Mr. Norris is a recognized expert in Business Real Estate Project Development, Transportation (including Freight), Light Rail, and specializes in Government Relations. A former City Councilmember, recognized by Federal and State Leaders, listed in Who’s Who of Association Management, and Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals, he has formerly served as Chairman of the San Joaquin Valley Rail Commission, a State Chartered Rail Commission.

Richard Norris, President/CEO

Rick has served on numerous community boards and is serving as Chairman of the Governing Board of Lancaster Community Hospital. Former Chairman and Vice Chairman of Edwards Historical Flight Test Foundation, Cofounder of AV Boys and Girls Club, and Palmdale Regional Airport Advisory Council.

Norris served his country in the United States Marine Corps, serving one tour of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter gunner and receiving military decorations. Following his four year Marine Corp tour of duty, Norris attended Orange Coast College receiving his Associate of Arts, and then received a Bachelor of A degree from California State University of Fullerton in 1973. While working as an investigator for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office Juvenile Court, he attended night school and earned a law degree from Western State University of Law. Norris is in the one-tenth of one percent of his country-he quit high school, but returned to earn a doctorate degree.

Rick is an avid golfer, scuba diver, skier, and tournament-level tennis player. In his spare time, he obtained a pilot’s license for single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft. Rick and his wife, Gayle, have two sons, David, 24 and Steven, 20. They make their home in Palmdale and plan to remain Antelope Valley residents for many years to come.
